The Baker Family & Dusk

opportunity to have our annual summer cocktail party at Dusk came to us
because of family ties. In this case the connection is between founding
Board Member and former Board Chair, Anne Baker and her son, Tim, who is the
catering manager at this very popular nightclub located in Caesars Atlantic
City. When Tim
first called with the idea, he said he wanted to do an event to benefit
Gilda’s Club South Jersey because he knew of his Mom’s dedication to the
organization and he wanted to do her proud. Another example of -- The
whole family, the whole time. Event fundraising can have its
funny moments. For example, we didn’t realize that our friends would
read “Gilda’s Night Out at Dusk” as “Girl’s Night Out at Dusk.” Let’s
set the record straight: Men are very welcome too. And people
over 30 will feel comfortable as the lights will be on and the music will
soft. We have events because they are
fun, but also we need the dollars to keep the red door open and the program
at no charge to members. Tickets are $60/person or $100/couple and
because Dusk is considering us family the vast majority of that ticket price
will come back to Gilda’s Club South Jersey. This is music
