Nancy Zeltner I became
familiar with Gilda's Club through my daughter, Julia and her friends. They
were actively involved in some programs that Gilda's Club offers. My
connection to Gilda's Club comes from being touched by cancer. A few close
relatives have passed away from cancer. I also have two close family members
that have been cancer-free for many years! I currently work at Gilda's
as a volunteer. I come back because I enjoy the people I work with and love
that I have the opportunity to give back.

discussion Gilda’s Club South Jersey’s Advocacy Networking Group is a
monthly group for members who are interested in advocating for cancer-related
issues. The Advocacy Networking Group, with participation by
AtlantiCare Cancer Care Institute, is hosting this public event to present
their most recent project – a record for survivors which will contain all of
their cancer treatment information. This document is completed by
cancer care providers & then used by the primary care physician to help
plan follow-ups, monitor possible treatment side effects and facilitate
survivorship. Patients, caregivers & healthcare providers are
strongly encouraged to attend!
James Dalzell, MD, Board Certified Radiation Oncologist,
Nazha Cancer Center, Gilda’s Club South Jersey Medical Resource Council, will
review updates in radiation recommendations, possible side effects,
alternative diagnostic tests & the dangers of accumulated
radiation. He will also discuss recent controversies & the
safeguards in place to protect you. Bring your questions &
concerns.
